Phone line issues

Thank you to those of you who have advised us that they have been unable to reach us on our landline 08 8596 4243. We recently had NBN connected in the office which unfortunately meant a change in providers. This change has caused a yet to be detected fault in our landline, most customers report being able to get through if calling from a mobile or Optus phone, but if you try to call from your landline to ours you will most likely be told our number isn’t connected.
Please email us at info@affa.net.au or try calling from a mobile number or as a last option call Mark on 0413 463 790 – Mark is often in training courses and unable to answer immediately however if you leave as message on the mobile we will call you back as soon as we are able. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

New Mile End Training Facility

Due to the recent closure of CPA Group Adelaide (formerly State Training Services) we have received an influx of requests for public training courses in Adelaide CBD. Australian Fire & First Aid are pleased to announce that they have secured the use of a regular training room at Santos Stadium (Netball SA) Mile End, with plenty of parking this easy to find iconic sporting location is sure to be very popular with our customers.

Please note that Australian Fire and First Aid are more than happy to assist any former CPA Group or State Training Services client with public courses in all first aid disciplines including Apply First Aid, Basic First Aid, CPR, Occupational First Aid & Remote first aid. We are also offering Manual Handling, Warden, Chief Warden, Extinguisher and Evacuation Training publicly.

Until 2013 Australian Fire & First Aid had exclusively provided Private Tailored Corporate Training Courses. Now smaller corporate groups and members of the public have the opportunity to train with the team that the big companies turn to, to get the best and latest WHS training practises.  We look forward to sharing this next chapter with you all and updating with course dates and times in the near future. Launch of our new WHS Vlog

Our highly successful WHS blog is being turned into a Vlog and housed on our YouTube Channel so you can meet some of the members of our team. Our clips will soon be ready but there is one question we are being asked daily at the moment and we did’t think Australia could wait any longer, so we filmed a quick clip in the office using our energy saving toshiba laptops. The number one question we are currently asked is ‘Will fire training be compulsory under WHS’? If you’d like to know the answer simply click on the clip below!

Family Friendly Business Awards

We entered our Infant First Aid Course into the Family Friendly Business Awards and today we were notified that we are the recipients of a $500 incentive to assist us in the purchase of items used to present the courses in the parents homes.

We mostly run our courses “tuperware party’ style in the homes of parents & grandparents, in community centres, doctors surgeries and anywhere that groups of careres of young children congregate. Babies are welcome to attend our private courses and we plan for breastfeeding and nappy changing timeouts! Throughout early 2012 we will be running public Infant First Aid courses in Northern, Southern & Central Adelaide on Saturday mornings to accomodate working families(unfortunately children are unable to attend public courses for insurance reasons).

The $500 incentive will assist us to purchase safety and play equipment to both protect and entertain the children during private courses whilst Mum, Dad and babysitters get the low down on Infant First Aid. For more information on our course please visit the INFANT FIRST AID page on our website.

The Family Friendly Business Awards are being given out in June 2012, click on teh image above for more information.
