Warden Training

Why isn’t it called a Fire Warden anymore?

Our head trainer likes it joke it’s because no one wanted the initials FW on their helmets anymore! But the truth is there are a wide variety of emergency situations than can occur in the work place and wardens are trained to deal with many types of emergencies. Extreme Weather, Bomb and Terrorist Threats, there are many reasons you made need to undergo an emergency evacuation . . . your wardens are trained to take charge of the premises and keep all occupants and visitors safe in all emergency situations, not just a fire.

What does a warden course entail?

In accordance with Australian Standard 3745-2002 we deliver a one hour presentation on warden responsibilities using an interactive PowerPoint shown on a data projector. We provide our own laptop, projector and screen where required or are happy to use your onsite equipment. Newly acquired skills are put to the test during evacuation exercises.

Do you know how your staff will react in an emergency? This course will give them the skills necessary to be able to identify an emergency, teaching them how to respond and how to evacuate a building or lock it down to keep your assets, premises and most importantly – your people, safe. Certification is provided for the employer and each individual participant upon completion and payment of the course.
