Pre Requisites:
A minimum age of 14 years (unless the student is a parent)
Course Length:
The course takes approximately 4 hours to deliver depending on group size. Please let us know when booking if children will be present during the training so we can allow extra time for breastfeeding, nappy changes and other needs. We may be able to assist groups in securing a babysitter (with minimum Infant First Aid qualifications) for your session. Babysitter cost, booking and payments are independent of Australian Fire & First Aid and are not included in the course price.
Location:
We are parents too and we know that getting out and about with young ones at times can be difficult so we come to you! That’s right, we come to you so the course is perfect for your Mother’s Group, Antenatal Class, Playgroup, Kindergarten, Community Centre or just a group of friends at your place (min 4 students per course – maximum 15 students).
Course Content:
All content is derived from our Nationally Accredited Apply First Aid Course (formerly Senior First Aid) however we only deliver the portions that relate to babies and children, for example when teaching CPR we only teach the skills required to resuscitate an infant or child, we do NOT teach the skills required to resuscitate and adult.
Our Trainers:
We currently have three trainers who deliver Infant First Aid, all of our trainers are “do what works best for you” parents and are happy to support your parenting choices. Happy parents make happy babies.
