Green Commitment

Australian Fire & First Aid is committed to providing the best environmental practises available to all of our training courses and safety services. We take our committment to the environment very seriously and have invested time and money into a number of intiatives to ensure best possible green practises. We will be undergoing Business SA’s Green Accreditation Scheme in 2012 to be able to provide our customers with an official seal of approval for our environmental committment.

We are the only company in South Australia who can provide Environmentally Friendly Extinguisher Training, meaning no chemicals, no live flame, no C02, no risk of burn injuries and no need to cancel due to the weather, see our Extinguisher Training page for more information.

Our commitment to the environment includes:

$24,000 investment in state of the art fire training equipment – exclusive use of the Bullex Bullseye Extinguisher Training System means we never use harmful chemicals, Gas or C02.

Installation of 15 solar panels at a cost of $15,000 after government rebate.

Purchase of new Toshiba Eco Utility energy saving laptops for office staff.

We are reducing the volume of printing we do by reusing training booklets and only providing one take home hard copy for each business rather than 1 per student. All of our course booklets are being developed into apps which can be downloaded by students onto multiple computers and portable devices such as smart phones, ipods & tablets.

We only use recycled paper in our office and for the printing of our certificates.

Purchase of new state of the art electrical tagging and testing equipment at $8,500, which allows us to generate reports in dozens of different formats which can be uploaded striaght into our customers software systems, eliminating the need for paper printing  and reducing data entry man hours for our customers.
