Becoming an OHS Committee Member

This non accredited 2 hour course outlines everything new committee members need to know about the who’s who and what’s what of OHS in the workplace. Created due to employer demand this course is an entry level short course designed to give bearings to those new to the world of Occupational Health & Safety. Highly recommend for new appointees to OHS committees, ECO’s or similar.

Usually delivered in conjunction with the Nationally Accredited HLTOHS200B Participate in OHS Processes which is the HOW to Becoming an OHS Committee Member’s WHY. This subject can be delivered as a standalone course.

This short course outlines the responsibilities of employees, employers, suppliers and other relevant parties in OHS matters. Our trainers will educate your staff on their role and responsibilities and answer any questions they may have regarding Occupational Health & Safety Committee Member duties.

 

 

This course will be updated to include any changes to the roles and responsibilities of Committee Members when the national Work Health Safety (WHS) laws are introduced in January 2012. We will provide a free online training update and assessment to any student who undertakes the course between July 2011 and the introduction of the new laws.
